Esi Hammond is a communications and public relations professional with over 30 years of experience, including two decades at the Bank of Ghana, where she established and led the Public Affairs Office. A member of the Executive Council of IPR Ghana and recipient of the 2018 PR Personality of the Year award, she has served in multiple leadership roles, including Deputy Honorary Secretary and continues to support the accreditation of PR professionals nationwide. She is an accredited member and is currently a Doctoral Candidate at SBS Swiss Business School, Switzerland (affiliated with NiBS University, Accra), Esi brings together public service, consultancyand academic rigour. Her blend of institutional experience and academic depth adds relevance and perspective to the judging panel.
Stanley Martey, APR
Stanley Martey is Director of Public Relations at Ghana Water Ltd., where he has served for over 26 years. He has built expertise in stakeholder engagement, crisis management, and media relations, notably leading public communications during Ghana’s COVID-19 free water initiative. As an accredited member of IPR Ghana, he also holds postgraduate qualifications in sociology and communications.His experience in public sector communications and reputation management adds practical depth to the judging process.
Professor Kwamena Kwansah-Aidoo, FIPR
Professor Kwansah-Aidoo is among the distinguished Fellows of the Institute of Public Relations Ghana and one of the country’s leading scholars in communications and public relations. With an academic career spanning four continents, he is among the few full Professors of Communications in Ghana. He has authored and edited key texts on media, PR, and crisis communications, and delivered global keynote presentations.He contributes academic rigour, research depth and international perspective to the panel’s deliberations.
Mawuko Afadzinu, APR
Mawuko Afadzinu is Executive Head of Marketing at Stanbic Bank Ghana, with a background in brand strategy, stakeholder engagement and business communications. An accredited member and immediate past President of the Institute of Public Relations Ghana, Mawuko has worked across various sectors to support business growth and institutional visibility. He holds an MBA from the John Molson School of Business, Concordia University. His experience across corporate and civic organisations supports a balanced and strategic approach to evaluating excellence in communications.
Peter Martey Agbeko, APR
Peter Martey Agbeko is Managing Editor of The Catholic Standard, Ghana’s oldest newspaper, and a communications specialist with over two decades of experience in journalism, public relationsand media leadership. An accredited and Council Member of IPR Ghana, he is also affiliated with IPRA, PRSA, and the Ghana Journalists Association.He contributes a blend of newsroom leadership, ethical communications and professional service to the panel’s work.
Robert Nana Mensah, APR
Robert Mensah brings over 37 years of public sector experience in communications, culminating in his role as Assistant Commissioner and Head of Communications and Public Affairs at the Ghana Revenue Authority. A long-standing accredited member of IPR Ghana and the Chartered Institute of Taxation, he has authored numerous corporate publications, lectured at the GRA Academyand led stakeholder engagement and governance initiatives in partnership with the WCO, UNDP, and other global institutions.He contributes institutional insight and practical expertise to the Awards, informed by a long-standing commitment to professional development.
Nii Okai Nunoo, APR
Nii Okai Nunoo is CEO and Account Team Lead at Leonant Yert Limited, a public relations consultancy. He has over 31 years in public relations, marketing, advertising, and research, 23 of which have been at senior management level. Nii Okai is a professionally accredited member of IPR Ghana and has held leadership roles at Standard Chartered, Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Ghana, and Vodi Technik Motors.He brings corporate leadership, consultancy experience, and a strong foundation in stakeholder engagement to the panel’s review.
Mr. Kojo Yankah, FIPR
Mr. Kojo Yankah, a Fellow and former President of the Institute of Public Relations Ghana, is a respected figure across media, politics, academia, and cultural advocacy. He was honoured as Public Relations Practitioner of the Year in 2012and celebrated as an IPR Ghana Legend, in recognition of his transformative impact on the profession. He has served as a Member of Parliament and Minister of State, and is widely known as a journalist, author, communications strategist, and cultural activist. As Founder of the African University College of Communications (AUCC) and the Pan African Heritage Museum, Mr. Yankah has championed African-centred education and heritage preservation. His leadership in initiatives such as PANAFEST reflects a lifelong commitment to elevating African narratives and fostering continental dialogue. He offers a broad, cross-sector perspective shaped by decades of leadership in African storytelling and institutional development.
Vicky Wireko-Andoh, FIPR
Vicky Wireko-Andoh holds Fellowship status with the Institute of Public Relations Ghana and is a former President of IPR, having served before then as Vice President, Council Member. She has served as Accreditation Courses Facilitator since 2012. . With over 35 years of experience spanning corporate communications, media relations, CSR, and crisis management, she has held senior leadership roles at Unilever Ghana and served as General Manager of Today Newspaper. An award-winning columnist with the Daily Graphic, she has published over 860 articles and is co-author of two books and remains an influential voice in public relations and journalism. She has served on several Boards including two Media organisations. She brings broad sector experience and a practical understanding of media and communications to the judging process.
Gayheart Mensah, APR
Gayheart Mensah is Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Food and Drugs Authority, overseeing the Corporate Services Division. With over 30 years in journalism, corporate communication, and consultancy, he is an accredited member of IPR Ghana and has advised clients including the Government of Canada and the Speaker of Ghana’s Parliament. He has been a lecturer in communications and PR at both graduate and postgraduate levels. In 2016, he was adjudged the best PR practitioner in Ghana by IPR. He is also the Founding CEO of Komskraft Consult and has sat on various boards. He offers strategic advisory experience and cross-sector communications expertise to the judging team.
Dr. Kweku Rockson, APR
Dr. Kweku Rockson is a communications scholar, consultant and practitioner with decades of experience in academia and public service. He served as Director and later Rector of the Ghana Institute of Journalism, where he taught for over 20 years and was the HOD at the Public Relations Department at UPSA and for some time Dean of Communications Department, Wisconsin International University College. He has supervised doctoral research, served as an Academic Auditor, and held roles with the NMC, UNESCO, New Times Corporation, and NRSC. He is a long-standing accredited member and offers academic depth and institutional credibility, supporting thoughtful and informed assessments.
Rose-Margaret Kpodo, FIPR
Rose-Margaret Kpodo is a Fellow of the Institute of Public Relations Ghana and has served on its Council since 1999. With over three decades of experience in communications, strategic planning and project management, she rose to become Managing Director of MMC Property Management Ltd., overseeing major commercial properties. She has also served as a trainer and resource person on corporate image, protocol and media relations. Her leadership experience and practical insight into strategic communications enrich the panel’s evaluation process.
